i think it means something like "synapse kid" or "script kid/script kiddie" but I'm not fully sure.

It's script kiddie, someone who uses scripts that were made by someone else used to manipulate a game to their own desire.

Not really, skid in the old 1999 hacker days meant someone who used leaked exploits and vulnerabilities from exploiting sites like milw0rm.com. It also meant someone "New To Hacking".
