In the new site, have a light theme, and have an easier way to switch between themes. You can switch themes by using the dropdown in the footer, instead of settings.

Probably already planned, the test probably doesn't have it cause the new site is not finished yet.

Switching themes using the site footer should also allow you to switch themes, even when you aren't logged in.

I prefer the default theme of most apps/websites better than the alternative theme, but I won't be switching to light mode when the new website comes out.
