(Open on CatDog's house. Cut to CatDog on the couch.)

Cat: Hiya, kids! Do you know what time it is? It's time to read some fan mail! (laughs) Winslow, bring in the letters, my good man.

Winslow: (filing his nails) Nothing today, chief.

Cat: Are you sure?

Winslow: Trust me. You two are as popular as a monkey in a banana patch. Fuhgeddabowdit.

Dog: I have one! (clears throat) Dear us, where did we come from? Signed...you and me.

Winslow: Pathetic.

Cat: Uh, good question, Dog. Of course, i-i-it comes as no surprise to you at home, Dog and I were descended from royalty.

(During this, Dog puts on a paper cat mask mocking Cat, who discards the mask.)

Dog: Right! Roy-all-tee! Uh... I don't get it.

Cat: Right. Well, you know, you know... Just work with me here, okay?

(During these next few lines, Dog's lines come to life.)

Dog: Ohhhhhh! Royalty, royalty! We used to be the king and queen of england! We wore crowns of sausages, dental floss and bowling balls!

Cat: (wiping off his lipstick) Well, you see, tha-tha-tha-tha-that was the rumor, but we did... grow up in a... beautiful country.

Dog: Beautiful country, high in the frigid peaks of the florida alps!

(Cat and Dog's thrones and crowns disappear and they are in the sky and land on a sled going downhill.)

Cat: (screams) Florida alps?

Dog: Mm-hmm. Then we learned to fly!

Cat: Uh, uh, hold on, Dog.

Dog: Out into outer space... And back down into the ocean! There we found deep-sea leprechauns! And, oh, boy, it got so dark, we got lost in a crazy, negative dimension!

Cat: Okay, okay, that is enough!

(The scenery breaks and CatDog are back in their living room.)

Dog: You said, "Work with me", I'm working with you.

Winslow: And youse two wonder why you never get fan mail, sheesh louise!

Cat: Deep-sea leprechauns?

Dog: (gasps) Wait a minute!

Cat: (offscreen) Winslow!

Winslow: (offscreen) Okay, so you gotta coupla letters I forgot to tell you about. Big deal.
