RSVSR What to do to farm ARC Motion Cores in ARC Raiders

ARC Motion Cores are the kind of bottleneck that makes you rethink your whole run. One minute you are stocking scrap, the next you are staring at the Refiner upgrade and realizing you are short again. If you are also trying to keep your stash steady with ARC Raiders Coins, it helps to know where these cores actually come from, because they are not sitting in some reliable crate you can farm on a loop. They are tied to what you kill up top, and that changes the way you plan a raid.

How Motion Cores Really Drop

You will notice it fast: Motion Cores are basically a "fight for it" resource. They drop from ARC machines, not from a fixed spawn you can memorize. So the goal is not a perfect loot route, it is picking the right targets and leaving time to loot the wreckage. A lot of players mess this up by getting the kill and then sprinting off because the area feels hot. Slow down for a few seconds. The core, if it drops, is in the broken parts. If you do not check the debris, you are basically wasting the encounter.

Spotting Surveyors Without Wasting Time

If you want the most consistent results, keep your eyes on the skyline. Surveyor drones give themselves away with that bright blue beam shooting straight up. They are annoying because they do not want to brawl; they drift and run, and you end up chasing. Do it anyway. When you down a Surveyor and loot it properly, you are very likely to walk away with at least one Motion Core. The trick is to commit early. Tag it, cut off the escape angle, and finish it before more trouble shows up. If you hesitate, it vanishes and you are back to hoping RNG likes you.

Big Machines, Bigger Payoffs

Surveyors are great, but you should not ignore the heavier units. Leapers, Bombardiers, Bastions, even Probes can all cough up cores, and the larger the machine, the better it tends to feel. The catch is that these fights are messy. You win, then there is smoke, scattered chunks, and half the squad is already looting something else. Make it a habit: clear, listen for follow-up threats, then sweep the wreckage in order. Also, do not tunnel on one enemy type. You will waste raids looking for the "perfect" spawn instead of collecting steady drops from whatever the zone throws at you.

When Drops Are Dry, Craft Your Way Out

If luck is being stingy, build a safety net in the Hideout. Once your Refiner hits Level 3, you can craft Motion Cores using ARC Alloy, and Alloy is way easier to stockpile during normal topside runs. That one unlock changes everything because it turns extra materials into progress, not frustration. And if you are the kind of player who prefers to keep momentum between sessions, it can be worth using a trusted shop like RSVSR to pick up game currency or items, then spend your in-game time doing the fun part: hunting machines, upgrading gear, and getting out alive.
